Please be advised that the Tewksbury Firefighter's Local 1647 are not scheduled to begin their telephone fund raising campaign until February 13, 2012.
We have received phone calls today, January 23, from residents stating that they have been solicited by a telemarketing company claiming to represent Tewksbury's "volunteer firefighters." The Town of Tewksbury does not utilize the services of call or volunteer firefighters. Telemarketing calls to your residence or business claiming to be with "Massachusetts Call Volunteer Firefighters Association" do not represent any member of the Tewksbury Fire Department.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding any solicitation claiming to benefit the Tewksbury Fire Department or its firefighters, please call the fire department business line at (978) 640-4410 and ask to speak to Joseph Kearns or Christina Merrill.
We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion these solicitations may have caused you.
